Support From Turkey for Kosovo’s Renewable Energy

[ad_1]

Undoubtedly, the most controversial, thought-about, most invested and only sector in the world that will remain valid forever is the energy sector. It is estimated that oil, one of the fossil fuels, will disappear completely in about 40-50 years, while natural gas will be out of use in about 60-70 years. While we make plans for 1-2 months, countries strive to ensure the welfare of their citizens and maintain their own existence by making plans for decades. The fact that fossil fuels are out of use in the intervals I mentioned above pushes us to search for renewable and sustainable energy. The most popular of these are wind and solar energy. Some countries have included renewable energy in their country's energy policies. In the process of harmonizing with European Union standards, many countries are making changes in many issues and continue to make large investments for this change.

One of these countries is Kosovo. It plans to meet most of its energy needs from wind energy in the next 2 years. According to plans, the General Electric wind turbine will come into operation in the last months of this year and will contribute to the country's energy needs. Stepping into renewable energy will be really beneficial for Kosovo, which provides almost all of its energy needs from coal power plants.

This investment in Kosovo's EU harmonization process was initiated by GURIS, a Turkish company. They announced that they will produce 110 million kWh of energy per year for 10 thousand residences.

In today's world where the renewable energy sector is growing day by day, it is both interesting and pleasing to hear such news. I hope all countries will continue to invest in renewable energy with confident steps.
